Would people get really mad at me if I say I think New Girl is THE millennial sitcom? I'm re-watching it now, and I genuinely think it is

It's a time capsule of Obama-era optimism, millennials' wobbly post-recession launch, and the rise of smart phones. It's a show that fundamentally believes people are good and things will get better and cringe is fine and love is real. (I miss 2014)

We're going to have to wrestle with this in architecture land pretty soon... ai renderings of potential projects are rapidly becoming the norm because the marketing of a project often precedes it being awarded to a firm to actually design

That means they've always been kind of slapdash (often, firms don't get paid to produce them), but they're about to get really wild and potentially very divorced from reality

Will that matter to a public that doesn't know what they're looking at anyway? I'm not sure. Curious to find out! Perhaps people have already been trained to see "real" renderings as slightly make believe because of the changes that happen between the design development renderings and what actually gets built after the client faces the realities of project costs

The only trip we’ve taken with another couple was like this, and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. We took a few activities/classes together, had a meal together ≈ every other day, and otherwise bopped around on our own. A DREAM. I love framing it as parallel play
