I think one of the most important skills you can have in poker is being really good at changing your mind.
Poker players spend so much time trying to be right.
We debate hands, defend our lines, argue about strategies and sometimes attach way too much of our ego to whether our original opinion was correct.
But I think the best players I've been around are almost the opposite.
They can passionately believe something on Monday, see better evidence on Tuesday and by Wednesday they've completely abandoned the idea.
No ego. No trying to justify why they were kind of right. No moving the goalposts.
Just "yeah, I was wrong."
I think that's an incredibly powerful skill.
Poker changes so quickly and there's so much information that it's almost impossible for everything you believe today to still be correct in a few years.
I've had strategies that I was absolutely convinced were good, probably taught them to other people with huge conviction, and then six months later realised I was completely wrong.
I don't think that's embarrassing. I actually think being able to do that is one of the reasons I've managed to keep improving.
The dangerous player isn't the one who gets things wrong.
Everybody gets things wrong.
The dangerous player is the one who needs to keep being right after the evidence has changed.
Your job isn't to defend the player you were yesterday. Your job is to make the player you are tomorrow better.
So have conviction in what you believe. Argue your side. Try to prove it. Challenge other people's ideas.
But when somebody shows you something better, don't fight to protect your old opinion.
Steal theirs.
Being wrong for one day costs you nothing.
Being too stubborn to change your mind can cost you years.
Some things take longer because they’re meant to find you at the right time.
Keep going. Keep becoming. What’s meant for you won’t need to be forced.

The saddest thing isn't dying.
It's spending your whole life waiting for the perfect moment to begin living.
Maybe there is no perfect moment.
Maybe there is only this one.
Save this for the days you forget that.

When Novak Djokovic played his first Australian Open, Sinner was 3 and Alcaraz was 1.
21 years later, he’s competing with them where it all began.
That is the greatness of Novak Djokovic.
@AuthorDanBrown Reading your book is itself the proof of non-local consciousness. You take us to a different, untethered world.
Only thing I missed the most was “Symbologist” Robert Langdon, didnt see that version of him. It was more of Katherine Solomon series!
Exceptional!
Just finished reading and absolutely loved it. Futuristic concept and need some time to process what all I have read in this. It forces you to stop and contemplate on the reality you are actually perceiving.
Dan Brown is back after 8 years with the 6th book in the Robert Langdon series. Been waiting a long time & bought it the day it came out!
100 pages in, and I’m completely hooked. This one’s going to be exceptional.
Bonus - The story has a thrilling neuroscience angle😍🙆🏻♂️
The story is set in Prague. What’s great about Dan Brown is he uses real places and builds fiction around them. Every place, architecture and history is real. After reading his “The Da Vinci Code”, Paris is on my bucket list. Prague might be next!

Tried fiction after lots of non-fiction reads and picked “Norwegian Wood” by Murakami
Honestly, I didn’t get the hype. The story felt boring, every character is depressed, and the romance didn’t make any sense. I would’ve rather watched a Karan Johar movie than read this.

@ChidwickStephen How do you see and process yourself outside of poker, like who you are if not a poker player. What excites you? What triggers you? What you run away from? And what you desire to be?
Poker isn’t about playing your best when everything is going well.
It’s about playing your best possible when everything is going wrong.
That’s the difference between winning and losing players.
Morning Thoughts:
Leg day today! Should I skip it and train back instead? Or maybe skip the gym entirely and do legs tomorrow?
Evening:
Finished a 60-minute leg workout and hit a PR on the leg press.
