Wrote about how my doc background was vital in making my first scripted feature, and how the industry would be better served if artists got opportunities in both forms, rather than being siloed. https://t.co/aWrroQdgoM

Luckily our friends @Elevation_Pics will be releasing the film in Canadian cinemas down the road. Stay tuned!

@amarwala @TIFF_NET wait i unfortunately missed this at the festival but as someone who grew up near VP station i need to know if this will be wide released sometime soon??

One of the final end credits for @amarwala's Shook is: "Filmed in Scarborough and Toronto, Ontario, Canada."

This local feature emphasized the T in #TIFF24: #ScarbTO has much beauty but those stories rarely make it to the big screen. Welcome to the hood.

Got this lovely note from someone who saw Shook @TIFF_NET. Remember, specificity translates. Lean into what you feel and what you know. The audience will feel it too.

[Amar Wala @amarwala]

@MR_STiXX Thank you man. The admiration is mutual.
