In July, Bochum transmitted by far the most data from STEREO-A’s Space Weather Beacon to the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Centre (SWPC). We @SternwarteBO have been doing this 24/7 since 2009. The data is important for monitoring space weather and its impact on Earth and radio wave propagation; it is also very important for amateur radio operators and shortwave radio. #hamradio #AMSAT

Six of the satellites were equipped with cameras to scan Starship’s heat shield and transmit imagery down to operators to continue testing methods of analyzing Starship’s heat shield readiness for return to launch site on future missions
