Real estate lawyer, longhorn rancher, chicken owner, and dog mom. Trying again with bees. Married a long time; two amazing grown kids. Thrive in silence.
@RickBuckman@KirkmeyerforGov Yes! Kirkmeyer is a credible candidate, but the base is going to give us Marx or Bottoms, both of which are problematic. I'm not wild about either Weiser or Bennet and as an independent, I'm inclined to vote the Republican ticket, but I fear my vote would be wasted.
@Rossputin I think it says more about the GOP failing to field electable candidates. I'm screaming into the void at this point, but I firmly believe that Colorado would elect a Republican governor if the GOP were to field a strong and credible candidate.
@hpmcd1 Hunter did an excellent Back from Broken podcast episode a while back that gives some insight into who he is. I have addicts throughout my family and was so angry about the chaos they caused. That episode along with many others in the series gave me a lot of peace and empathy.
@AtiteSnr Yes, it's a heifer calf we named Annie. She is doing great and her mom has integrated with the herd better than ever and even sometimes babysits the little ones (we have 8 calves and are expecting another 3). Annie is a Top Shooter (famous bull) granddaughter, so we're excited.
Amelia’s fist calf didn’t make it last year (poor hind quarter development). This year’s calf looks strong and healthy! She’s not the friendly sort, so we’ll have to confirm sex later.
@didem5654 In the US, it is common for people to take off their shoes on the airplane. There does tend to be objections to bare feet, but I’ve never seen anyone object to socks.
@DDenver2025@KyleClark@KOAColorado@Rossputin@victormarx@heidiganahl@danmaes Yes! I am a moderate, independent voter who doesn’t particularly like many of the business unfriendly policies coming out of our state capitol. But, I would vote for a paper napkin before voting for someone like Marx. These GOP candidates are weird and not in a good way.
@JohnGolf_CA@EricTopol@TheLancet You can order it yourself. I have one copy of the APOE e4 gene variant and finally decided to pull the trigger and schedule blood work through Function Health. It is a little pricey, but for me well worth it.
@downbadcomment FFS, what a drama queen. Man up; take responsibility. Yes, life is going to be harder and you’re going to have to adult far earlier than you expected. Things are different but they’re not ruined. Jeez.
@BillKinneyCPA Lawyer here. Sometimes my clients come to me with AI written stuff. Occasionally, it’s good, but if there is even a little bit of analysis of law required, it is terrible. The worst part is that AI sounds so confidently correct when it is actually dead wrong.
@Emmmavic Court is like church. It used to be that we all knew what to wear. I dress up for court because I am a lawyer, but people seem to have no sense of respect for the institution anymore. Honestly, I've sat next to folks who I'm sure have not showered!
@OzzieR89 When I was in my late 30s and running regularly, I went to urgent care for fatigue and coughing. Doc listened to my lungs, did an xray, and diagnosed pneumonia. Maybe what happened to KB couldn't have been prevented, but any competent doc will generally catch pneumonia.
@Rossputin@Costco This is a new thing they just started. Before, Costco always opened at 10am. Now, if you have an executive membership, you can get in a 9am. It's not meant to keep you out; it's meant to let the folks who've spent a little more in.
@moorehn I feel like he might implode if he knew I have a fitted sheet and a flat sheet, all residing under the duvet, which is not folded down because I hate that look. Reminds me of my colleague who kept his office freakishly clean. I used to put a used kleenex on his desk just for fun.
