This 4th of July, I celebrated America's 250th with communities across Minnesota and reflected on the promise that has brought generations together.
Thanks to everyone who welcomed us into your celebrations. Here's to keeping that promise for the next generation.
Always good to spend time with Minnesota Farmers Union President Gary Wertish and Vice President Anne Schwagerl. I'm grateful for their partnership and commitment to strengthening agriculture and rural communities across our state.
It’s not Farmfest without a pork chop on-a-stick. Great to spend some time with Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing! The weather was great but the pork chops were even better.
Donald Trump passed the largest cut to Medicaid in our country's history and let the health insurance premium tax credits expire. If Republicans won’t extend the tax credits, I’ll do it on the state level. Minnesotans need lower health care costs and they need them now.
Our farmers deserve leaders who are going to work together to find solutions to the challenges they're facing. I was ranked number one for bipartisan bills in the Senate and number three for getting bills signed into law, and that's how I will lead as Governor.
Great to be at Farmfest today to talk about my plans to expand our rural economy and support Minnesota farmers. I’ve heard the challenges farmers are facing from tariffs, high fertilizer prices, and cuts to rural health care. Our farmers need action, and I’m ready to get to work.

David Rivkin helped create a sound that put Minnesota on the map and inspired generations of musicians around the world. From helping launch Prince's career to shaping the Minneapolis Sound, his influence on music is immeasurable.
My thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.
Summer means lawn signs — and this year, Minnesota is covered in them: front yards, Main Streets, even spotted along the parades I walk in. With Election Day less than 100 days away, help us keep that momentum going. Sign up for a door knock shift at the link below and pick up a lawn sign while you’re there. Thanks for being part of this team.

Cell phones don’t belong in the classroom. My plan to ban cell phones in K-12 classrooms and limit screen time keeps kids focused on what matters: learning. Let’s get it done.
Minnesota became the first state in the country to fully ban AI nudification technology, despite Elon Musk’s attempts to halt it. A federal judge denied his company’s petition to temporarily block the law. Minnesotans’ privacy isn’t up for interpretation.
Smoke from the Superior National Forest fires made air hazy and unhealthy across Minnesota. That’s why I’m backing the Wildfire Air Quality Sensor Expansion Act to help state agencies monitor air pollution and keep Minnesotans safe.
Just released budget extension in senate includes provision based on my bipartisan bill to delay onerous hemp restrictions so we can put more sensible safety rules in place like we have in Minnesota. It goes through mid-December but that should allow more work on this issue. Huge for MN farmers, brewers, producers & customers! Now we need to pass it this week and get to House!
Red Wing was the place to be today for the River City Days Parade! So much fun to join Mayor Gary Iocco and everyone celebrating this incredible community. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a great day.
It was an honor to join the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth for its Change of Command ceremony. Thank you to Colonel Aysta for your outstanding leadership, and congratulations to Colonel Grayson as you take command of one of the finest National Guard units in the nation. I'll keep working to ensure the 148th has the resources it needs to carry out its critical mission.
Farmers are already being squeezed by higher costs for fuel, fertilizer, and equipment. Now many are seeing their health insurance premiums double. I put forward a plan to lower health insurance premiums and reduce health care costs for Minnesota families and farmers. We need action.

When Minneapolis Council Member LaTrisha Vetaw and I saw each other at a Prince celebration (where all good things happen), we ended up talking about how we could make the Camden railroad crossing safer. Frequent train blockages delay first responders, drivers, and pedestrians trying to get across.
That's why I’ve worked with Council Member Vetaw to secure federal funding to address the three at-grade rail crossings and make this area safer for everyone.
Minnesota does big things – and nowhere is that more true than in medicine. We are home to leading hospitals, world-class research universities, and one of the largest medical technology hubs in the world.
But we can’t take that leadership for granted. We need to expand our health care workforce and keep building the future of medicine here in Minnesota.
Marjorie Johnson spent decades bringing joy to kitchens across our state, earning more than 2,500 blue ribbons and inspiring generations of home bakers.
Now, the Minnesota State Fair is honoring her with the new Marjorie Johnson Honey Bee Award for the fair's best sweet rolls; a fitting tribute to a true Minnesota icon.
