Working on an exciting project with @Sarahfish37 exploring all things 'minor illness'. If you are a nurse working in 'minor illness' or a manager/educator then please spare a few minutes to complete this short survey https://t.co/6oxogtOWT1
For all aspiring #ACPs in South Yorkshire this is a great opportunity to network and find out more about the role of #AdvancedPractice and the many opportunities available to you

Informative session exploring inclusivity from a neurodivergent first perspective. Something we, as education providers, in AEI's need to remember when developing #AdvancedPractice training programmes. #AdvancingPractice2023
Effective supervision is the cornerstone of quality #advancedpractice training (and beyond). Informative session exploring sustainable advanced practice supervision by @HardingDebs....a topic close to my heart as both a supervisee and supervisor #AdvancingPractice2023
Reassuring update provided by @SafetySamFoster at the #AdvancingPractice2023 conference that @nmcnews is working in conjunction with the other regulatory bodies and will release a joint statement regarding #AdvancedPractice and #regulation.
As part of #AdvancingPractice2023 week I'm attending an @nmcnews webinar exploring their progress on the #regulation of #AdvancedPractice. As we all know regulation and governance is central to safe care and standardisation of the role.
It is clear that this work cannot be done in isolation. Collaboration and co-production with all PSRBs and relevant organisations is a must. We need to build on the work that has already been done rather than repeat it. @NHSE_WTE@The_HCPC@TheGPhC@LondonAPFaculty@theRCN
Hi Advanced Practice week this week!If you're at the 'Conference 2023: A future worth Advancing', please visit my pre-recorded session Thursday 9th 12.15-1pm 'Advanced or Advancing Nursing Practice: the Future Direction for Nursing?'
I'll be very glad to get your feedback!
@ACP_April@nmcnews It was good to see so many people attend the webinar and from a diverse range of backgrounds. It just goes to show how far reaching #AdvancedPractice really is 😄
@VikkiJoCPD Excellent summary. I absolutely agree @VikkiJoCPD. The number of times I have been asked 'why didn't you just become a doctor?' One of the things I love about health care is that there are so many diverse career pathways and they all bring a slightly different perspective. #ACP
Interesting post. I certainly think that we need more accountability but exactly how this translates with regard to regulation of non-clinical/non-registered personnel remains to be seen.
“Regulation should apply to non-clinical managers as well”
@DrPhilBanfield appeared on @SkyNews this evening continuing to make the case for NHS managers to be regulated in the same way as doctors are after Lucy Letby was sentenced earlier today
Excellent article by @cn150 and @southcoastjoy highlighting the often neglected research pillar of #AdvancedClinicalPractice. There are many barriers which prevent #ACPs from engaging with and in research, especially in the clinical arena. https://t.co/QM2YA4Fbkk
@NHSEngland This is all well and good but what are the Government's plans for ensuring that these extra students are given sufficient suppprt, supervision and time in order to learn and are not just seen as 'another pair of hands'?
In my opinion, support, supervision, regulation and governance of #AdvancedPractice must be the first priority in order to ensure we can meet this target.
