14 years ago today, US Airways Flight 1549 made an emergency landing in the Hudson River. Thanks to numerous first responders, especially Weehawken Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Weehawken Police Department, Weehawken Office of Emergency Management, North Hudson Fire & Rescue
and NY Waterway, this effort led to the safe rescue of all of the flight’s 155 passengers. The Township of Weehawken pauses to recognize all those who responded to this emergency and continue to keep us safe every day. Photo credit: Anthony Quintano
