@MissEmmaTurner Earlier this term my son insisted his day was just normal, nothing to share, and then at dinner blurted out: "Owls' claws feel really strange on your shoulder." ๐ณ
The owl people had been in to his school and he had one one on his shoulder. We now have a photo of this.
What a term!! It was my first one as a Senior Leader; I am grateful for all the lessons learned and eager for the lessons still to learn. But first: a good dollop of R&R and Chistmas fun! Have a great break, everyone ๐
What a year!
Just said goodbye to the nicest group of people ever; thank you a brilliant 15 years!
Very excited for September and my role, at my new school, as the AHT in charge of Sixth Form ๐ Hit me up with the best people to follow #edutwitter#sixthform#post16#AHT
I thought hard about posting this, is it too much information? Is it over sharing? Is it unprofessional?
Then I thought, no. We need to talk about this more & be more open. Because there are currently 13million of us going through this, it's not too much. We need to talk about it
@nourishworkplce@dazmoll I could have written that. If I was on one of those energetic patches you mention ๐ Thank you for sharing. I too got some gel and tablets recently and am hoping that they help me feel better ๐ค
@Strickomaster Very much so. I like that it is so easy to read, put down, and come back to. It's going to take a while to read fully as it is making me think, and therefore, the margins are getting full of my scribbled notes ๐

The #teacher body clock does not care for the weekend. After a little bit of sulking, cross for being awake, I decided an #audiobook in bed was as good as sleeping.
Even the kids and cats were asleep when I started this before 6 o'clock.
February ITT application stats for England are so bad that this year is now looking worse than last year, which is quite something ๐ฒ
- primary 15% lower than same time last year
- secondary 2% higher despite big bursary uplifts
Let me explain a bit more...๐งต
How do you keep yourself organised? Paper diary/planner? Digital planner for iPad? Post-its? ๐ In particular if you are SLT, what do you use to keep track of it all? Including teaching. All ideas welcome, thank you! #edutwitter#stationery#planners#diaries
