A Georgia handyman swapped his car for a pink Barbie toy car to beat rising gas prices.

Mali Hightower pulled a broken Power Wheels Dream Camper out of the trash and installed a small gas engine from a power washer to give him an alternative to speed around town in instead of his usual mode of transportation.

His 1996 Mercedes-Benz convertible typically costs about $90 to fill.

@schuld3157 I see. Fair enough. Just keep in mind that there are many parts of Texas that are prone to flooding, so below-ground structures are not often a thing. Typically in tornado's, people simply go inside a building, get in a closet/bathtub, and cover their heads in case of debris.

@sana_asamori Never really understood the limitations myself. Is it for lack of ideas? If it's just word count, I find I just write what I'm thinking as it goes, and mentally narrate the story as it develops.

@maromi_maroyaka I enjoy the idea of writing, but I have been told 'my prose is amateurish' so that was rather deflating. The idea of making something into an illustrated work is always something that sounds more appealing.
