Today I announced my re-election campaign for a full term. We’ve accomplished a lot in the past 14 months and I’m ready to keep working. Thank you Missoula! https://t.co/XnLFrtDXDc
Four years ago, in the middle of a pandemic, we needed a leader with the character to put politics aside and do what was right. That’s what @JoeBiden did.
At a time when our economy was reeling, he drove what would become the world’s strongest recovery – with 17 million new jobs, historic wage gains, and lower health care costs. He passed landmark legislation to rebuild our nation’s infrastructure and address the threat of climate change.
I’m grateful to Joe for his leadership, his friendship, and his lifetime of service to this country we love.
I appreciate @GovGianforte visiting Missoula today to hear from our response team and tour debris sites. State agencies have been very helpful to Missoula both during the emergency and now in response and recovery.
Thanks to our quick response from @MontanaDES, Missoula Electric, NorthWestern Energy, and local officials, clean up and recovery is well on its way in Missoula.
We’ll continue to bring the full resources of the state to bear as communities recover from recent severe weather.
Missoula City and County Officials held this press conference today on wind storm. Thanks to Montana Right Now-Nonstop Local for posting full video. NOTE: we are still in recovery mode. Watch for limbs and unstable trees! https://t.co/qJ5jEVGYnA
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and National Guard here to help. People are so thankful and grateful for the support. Neighbors helping neighbors. #Missoulastrong
DEBRIS MANAGEMENT UPDATE: County and City Public Works continue to prioritize debris pick up blocking public rights-of-way, including streets/roads, sidewalks and alleys. They do not have capacity to pick up debris from private property.
A reminder that NorthWestern Energy is providing updates on this page: https://t.co/NQ9X07Z9FO
Keep in mind it takes longer to restore power during wildfire season because officials need to be more careful when fire danger is high and power lines can easily spark new fires.
@problembear@MissoulaCounty@GovGianforte I have been providing constant updates via City FB, news statement and personal FB page. I appreciate you like this platform. I will continue to support my constituents as I have and more.
@problembear@MissoulaCounty@GovGianforte This joint city county website is constantly updated with critical information including news of declarations: https://t.co/oFIC8rJQbL
@problembear@MissoulaCounty@GovGianforte I gave the authorization to Declare an Emergency at midnight Wednesday to the Office of Emergency Management. The Board of County Commissioners declared on Tuesday. Today, Governor Gianforte signed the request.
I have been in direct contact with NorthWestern Energy daily.
It’s deeply concerning to see the National Association of Realtors dump $125,000 into the local Missoula mayor race. And now there’s a complaint filed to the COPP. https://t.co/HL9bmDKYTw
Shoutout to @LakeMissoulaTea for hosting a fabulous group of people last night! It's always a privilege to hear from folks about the issues that matter to them the most.
If you drove I-90 yesterday in Montana, you could’ve seen an oil train in the river on one side of the divide and a literal garbage fire on the other side
