One of the things we're most proud of is that ETH Belgrade has grown organically through the support of its community.
Every year, people across the Ethereum ecosystem contribute in different ways by speaking, mentoring, volunteering, connecting internal and external stakeholders, or supporting the event itself.
There are many individuals who have contributed to ETH Belgradeโs success over the years. So many we wouldnโt be able to mention everyone without unintentionally forgetting someone. But in this post we'd like to thank three people that came for the conference and stayed in Belgrade, @TokenBrice, @PolyGrimbo and @bl4ckb1rd71, for bringing sponsorships to ETH Belgrade and setting a great example of what it means to support the local Ethereum ecosystem.
We also want to be transparent with our community. This has been one of the hardest years yet for fundraising. Finding sponsors has been significantly more difficult and this edition has come together thanks to a small group of people who stepped up. We're incredibly grateful for that, because that's what makes ETH Belgrade a true community effort like it has always been.

I told an AI to build a tokenized fund with @chainlink developer agent skills and ran it on my personal Hermes of @NousResearch. It wrote the contracts, wired up Chainlink oracles, wrote the test suite, and ran it. 67 tests. 0 failures. All 3 contracts passing. Safety mechanisms verified. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes.
I'm not a Solidity developer. I don't know the ERC-4626 spec by heart. I've never written a Proof of Reserve consumer contract. I couldn't tell you the exact syntax for an L2 sequencer uptime check without looking it up. None of that mattered. The AI knew all of it. I just described what I wanted.
The dashboard you're looking at is the test results for three smart contracts.
FundToken.sol - an ERC-4626 vault that mints and burns shares with a Proof of Reserve gate.
NAVOracleCons - a weighted feed aggregator that pulls real-time NAV data from Chainlink, normalizes decimals, checks staleness, monitors the L2 sequencer.
PoRConsumer.sol - the reserve consumer that verifies backing ratios and relays updates through Chainlink's cross-chain infrastructure.
24 tests on the fund token. 19 on the oracle. 24 on the reserve consumer. All green.
The safety mechanisms are the part that should make you pause. PoR mint gate, the contract literally refuses to mint if reserves drop below 100%. L2 sequencer check, if the sequencer goes down, the contract reverts with a one-hour grace period before accepting stale data. Staleness threshold at 24 hours. Reentrancy protection. Admin role enforcement. Relay authentication with rotation support. These aren't "nice to have" features. These are the things that prevent 9-figure exploits. And the AI built them automatically.
A year ago, building a tokenized fund with institutional-grade safety checks required a team. A Solidity engineer who knew the ERC-4626 vault standard. An oracle specialist who understood Chainlink's Data Feeds and PoR architecture. A security person who could write tests for reentrancy, staleness, sequencer downtime, relay auth rotation. That's three different skill sets, minimum. Probably a team of four or five people. 6 figures in salary burn before a single line of code hits testnet.
I did it by typing. In one session. While sitting at my desk.
The contracts aren't toy examples either. FundToken inherits the full ERC-4626 interface. The NAV oracle aggregates multiple weighted data feeds, handles decimal normalization across chains, and includes the L2 sequencer check that #Chainlink specifically recommends for rollup deployments. The PoR consumer validates reserve ratios, enforces the mint gate, and integrates with the Chainlink Runtime Environment relay for cross-chain updates. These are the exact patterns Chainlink's own documentation describes for institutional tokenized funds. The AI didn't hallucinate. It built to spec.
