On this week’s episode of The Professional Noticer, Andy welcomes back Rob, Levi, and Jacob Mills—the father-and-sons trio known as The Sound.
Tune in to hear the guys take Andy behind the scenes of their appearance on America’s Got Talent, and what Simon Cowell told them after their performance. Listen as they share how growing up with music shaped their signature harmonies, how their first Rascal Flatts concert eventually came full circle into working with Jay DeMarcus.
Plus, hear live performances of “Savannah,” “Three Wooden Crosses,” “Southern Nights,” and their newest song, “Everything But Love.”

Meet another REAL person from Return to Sawyerton Springs: Kevin Perkins.
Kevin represents another big piece of Andy’s story—one of those friendships that stretches from childhood into adulthood.
And when Andy started writing the stories that would eventually become Return to Sawyerton Springs, he didn't have to invent all the characters. He already knew some pretty great ones.
Kevin shows up throughout the stories—as Andy's friend, teammate, partner in more than a little childhood mischief...and yes, co-conspirator in the great third-grade runaway.
That one deserves a story all its own. 😂
More than 30 years later, the friendship is still going—and so are the stories.

First published more than 30 years ago, this funny, warm, “mostly true” collection of stories has been unavailable for years.

If you remember it, welcome back!
If you’ve never been there, we can’t wait to introduce you.
And after all those hints we’ve been dropping, we’re especially happy to finally say…

We’re going back to Sawyerton Springs.
Come with us!
Meet one of the REAL people of Sawyerton Springs!
If you’ve read Return to Sawyerton Springs before, you may already know the name Roger Luker.
What you may not know is that Roger isn’t just a character Andy dreamed up. He and Andy have been friends pretty much since the beginning—their moms were best friends, had their boys about a month apart, and promptly put them in a playpen together.
All these years later, Roger and Andy are still great friends…and he also happens to be one of the people you’ll meet when you visit Sawyerton Springs.
Over the next few weeks, we’re going to introduce you to a few more of the real people who found their way into the stories.
But first…meet Roger.

So…what exactly IS Return to Sawyerton Springs?
We figured the best person to answer that question was Andy!
Thirty stories. One little town. And a cast of characters you’ll get to know pretty well along the way.
And more than 30 years after these stories were first written, Andy still says this is the funniest thing he’s ever written.
We can’t wait for you to meet the people of Sawyerton Springs. ❤️ We think you’ll love them as much as Andy does!

We’re going back to Sawyerton Springs.
Come with us!
Before the books, the stages, the speeches, and everything that came later…there was this kid.
That’s Andy, his little sister, Kristi—and a couple of other pretty important members of the Andrews household: Champ the dog and Bandit the raccoon.
We’ve been looking backward a little this week, so we thought we’d pull these out of the archives.
And now, we’d love to know: what’s something about YOUR childhood that sounds completely made up—but is 100% true?
Bonus points if it involves a raccoon.
The Israelites had been wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. An entire generation was gone. Moses was gone. And finally, finally, their descendants were about to enter the Promised Land.
But first, God had a plan for taking Jericho. And when Joshua heard it, I'm pretty sure his first reaction was… "Okaaaay."
He followed the plan. Every detail of it. Including one specific instruction to the people that, honestly, might have been the most important part of the whole thing.
In this "Briefings From the Good Book," I'm in Joshua 6:10. If you've ever wondered whether God blesses complainers, this is your Bible story.

One of the easiest things in the world to see is what other people are doing wrong.
One of the hardest things in the world to see is what we're overlooking in ourselves.
Years ago, my friend Jones pointed out a blind spot I didn't know I had. He told me I had become so focused on what wasn't working that I could no longer see what was.
At first, I thought he was wrong.
But the more we talked, the more I realized he was right. I was paying attention to closed doors and missed opportunities. I was focused on problems I couldn't solve and circumstances I couldn't change. What I wasn't noticing were the abilities, experiences, relationships, and opportunities that were still right in front of me.
It's amazing how often we do that.
We become experts on our limitations and amateurs at recognizing our strengths.
Sometimes the issue isn't that we've run out of options.
Sometimes we've simply stopped seeing them.
And occasionally, all it takes is a fresh perspective to remind us there is far more available to us than we realized.
Funny how some places stay with you.
The people. The stories. The things that happened there that still make you laugh years later.
We’ve been thinking about one of those places lately.
More soon.
We’ve got something coming that has us feeling a little nostalgic...
So before we tell you what it is, we want to know: When you were a kid, what did a summer day usually look like?
1. Riding bikes until somebody made you come home.
2. Playing ball with whoever showed up.
3. Swimming—the pool, lake, creek...whatever you could find.
4. Outside ALL DAY. The details are still a little fuzzy.
Also, what’s one thing that instantly takes you back to summer when you were a kid?
We’ll tell you why we’re asking very soon.
It didn't start with AI.
It started on a three-hour car ride to Grandma's — back when kids sat in the backseat and listened to their parents talk about life.
Then we handed them headphones. Two generations later, we're finally seeing where that road led.
