I’m deeply saddened by the passing of my dear friend and colleague, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. She was a tenacious advocate for civil rights and a tireless fighter, improving the lives of her constituents. Our country is better for her service.
My prayers are with Sheila’s family and loved ones. She will be remembered for her good works and sorely missed in the halls of Congress.
Our hearts are heavy at the news of the passing of a true servant leader. @JacksonLeeTX18 was committed to the cause of advancing our people.
So we honor her life and legacy through our continued commitment to protecting our democracy and the advancement of our community.
