@LibertyForAll19 Hey there! Twitter’s character limit makes discussion difficult on here (brevity may be the soul of wit, but I’ve never been accused of wittiness lol), but I replied on TikTok! Those interested in the original post can find it here

During some of the darkest periods of my life, the best thing I ever did for my mental health was finally accepting that nothing was going to magically get better on its own. I had to be the one to make the first move.
It sounds sad but sending the first message. Reaching out to people for help or to hang out. Applying to the program/job/whatever even though rejection felt inevitable.
It felt unfair. It looked like everyone else just had life handed to them while I had to claw for every tiny win.
But doing what I could with what little energy and courage I had before leaving the rest up to chance/to God has always helped me crawl out of a hole because eventually there would be some sort of progress to look forward to.
even platonically, i love intensely. intimacy is not reserved for romance. i will always respect peoples boundaries, but i think a lot of people are taken back because they've never been loved for the sake of being loved. i don't want anything. i just really love my friends
Every big breakthrough in your life will first require a descent into the underworld, where you will be forced to face exactly the things that you least want to face. Every priceless gift you gain in life will first demand a sacrifice, like of your outworn habits, beliefs and ideas about who you are, and of how you thought life would look or “should” have turned out. The greater the price you pay, the greater the gift your soul will gain from the experience in the end.
