Two sisters from Toton, Nottinghamshire have both received bravery awards from EMAS. Maisie and Grace Tooley, aged 11 and 12 respectively, came to their dad’s rescue when he became seriously unwell at home on 13 September 2024.

At Notts Pride on Saturday 27 July we taught life-saving skills such as CPR, tourniquet application to manage catastrophic blood loss, and the use of an EpiPens in the event of severe allergic reactions. A few little heroes also received certificates for learning CPR.
Very tired after a busy day at Notts Pride, but it was so worth it as we had a great time speaking to people who came over to say hello and teach them life-saving skills.
Five-year-old Lola Brisbane has been given an award for her bravery, after she managed to ring 999 when her mum Kirsty had a seizure at home.
