@nathanbarry I think I'd approach it as seasons:
Spring (Jan - June) - Project Time
Summer (June - August) - Travel / Social Time
Fall (Sept - Dec) - Project Time #2
Winter (Dec - Jan) - Holidays / Family Time
@IAmAaronWill People have gotten way too invested in the 'fake it till you make it'-mantra.
Similarly, I'm convinced there are more folks out there making a living selling dropshipping courses than actually making dough from dropshipping.
@IAmAaronWill Way too many threadbois out there repeating the same empty platitudes.
The accounts I engage with most share everything.
Their wins, their methods, their failures, their shitposts - everything.
Much easier to get people invested in *you* and *your* brand.
@waronweakness Always interesting when reading billionaire biographies is founding out they started their optimizations and elaborate routines only *after* years of 100 hours/week, balls-to-the-wall work.
Write a to-do list and get to work.
Once again reminded of the importance of surrounding yourself with people you want to emulate.
You become who you associate with.
Too much time spent with lifeless people will turn you into a husk.
@Christonab1ke@JosephPolitano Thanks for the perspective!
Only lived in London for a bit (as an admittedly well-paid tech employee), so never really develop a feeling for the wider country.
@JosephPolitano Admittedly, I don't know much about non-London UK real estate.
But given that median income in the UK is just 32,000 GBP (and falling!), I really wonder how some people manage to get by.
@JosephPolitano Bit of an extreme example, but I still can't get over London property prices.
Charging 910 GBP ($1,150 USD!) for a 7 sq. m/73 sq. ft. room is just astounding.
@WPenner3@balajis Interesting take, I hadn't considered it like that!
Within that framework, I guess I mentally assumed that there could be a distribution where a part of the power (i.e. military, legal) is centralized and parts are decentralized (i.e. financial to an extent)
Those days where you're just killing it.
Up before sunrise. Well rested. God-tier espressos. 10+ hours of deep work. Fantastic sleep. Killer workouts. Serendipitous encounters. Problems resolving themselves. Night out with the boys.
Priceless.
