@satyabhama_2 It finds where any movie or show is streaming legally in YOUR country, across 34 countries instead of assuming everyone lives in the US. Search a title, get every legal option, set an alert for what is coming. Free, the link has the full tour.
Users kept asking me the same question: "ok but what all can OTTASIA do?"
Realized I couldn't answer either. We've shipped so much I lost track.
Spent today making the map: https://t.co/HxNYRb5Y7C
What's the one feature every app buries that you wish they'd show you upfront?
@solopribuilds Everyone has the same AI now. You win on:
– proprietary data they can't copy
– the workflow around the tool
– speed of adoption
– customer trust
The model is rented. The MOAT is built.
honest answer, it doesn't yet. free, no ads, pre-revenue by choice while I prove people want it. the paths I'm building towards is a small premium tier (personal AI recommendations, our assistant OTTO), affiliate deals with the streaming services we send viewers to (we drove thousands of "go watch" clicks last month, that's the asset), and a B2B side, since we track streaming availability across 34 Asian markets that even the big data vendors cover poorly. distribution first, monetization second. ask me again in 6 months :)
Someone asked us this week: "do you even have real users or is this another dead indie app?"
Fair question. Here is 79 days of receipts, straight from the database:
155,812 sessions
3,258 user accounts
9,061 clicks sent to Netflix, JioHotstar, Viu and 100+ services
10,297 citations from (OpenAi,Claude,Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity) in 30 days
232 people signed up yesterday alone. The WhatsApp bot answered questions from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh all weekend while we slept.
Dead app would be a strange way to describe it.

Mostly organic. What's actually worked, in order:
App store localization - translated the Play listing into 9 Indian + SEA languages. Signups went ~5x the day it published. Biggest single lever so far.
AI answers (AEO) - structured pages + an MCP server, so ChatGPT/Copilot/Gemini cite us for "where to watch X in India" type queries.
Long-tail SEO - auto-generated "where to watch [title] in [country]" pages from our own data.
Thanks for trying it and for the honest feedback. You're right, we show where a title streams but not yet season-by-season. That's now on the roadmap.
JustWatch is a great product and we respect what they've built. We're solving a different problem: availability in Asian markets. For India, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Gulf, US-centric tools are often wrong or miss local services like Aha, Hoichoi, ARY Plus and Vivamax. That accuracy across 34 countries is our focus.
The part no scoreboard shows: yesterday a user in the Philippines asked why our free movies section was all Bollywood.
By evening it had Filipino films in it. VIVA, Regal, Star Cinema.
That is the entire playbook. Users complain, we ship, same day.
Try the bot yourself, text any movie name: https://t.co/JOxvNiOPeM
This is exactly why OTTASIA exists. Save any movie to your watchlist and the day it lands on any OTT in your country, you get a push notification. Not weekly digests, the actual day.
We even predict the arrival date before it drops, and you can set alerts on WhatsApp too, no app needed.
Test it on any upcoming movie and tell me if it fails you. https://t.co/wUHDtX1AU7
Your friend: "it's on Netflix bro"
Netflix: it is not.
OTTASIA ends the argument. Search any movie, see exactly where it streams in YOUR country, or get an alert the day it arrives. 34 markets, India to the US.
Too lazy to open an app? Text the movie name to OTTO on WhatsApp. Answer in seconds.
Free forever: https://t.co/rCtSI02eee
Streaming in India has a secret: hundreds of movies are 100% free. Legally.
Full movies on YouTube. Free tiers on JioHotstar and MX Player. Nobody shows you the full list.
So we built a Free section. One page. Only free movies. Filtered for YOUR country. Some even play right inside the app.
No subscription. No torrents.

@ottasiaapp
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the most searched movie in India right now.
It's not on Netflix. Not on Prime. Not on any OTT.
Millions of people will Google "Spider-Man OTT release date" every week until it drops.
Or you do this once: open OTTASIA, search it, tap Alert Me. The day it lands on streaming in your country, your phone buzzes.
We even predict the arrival window. For 34 countries, not just the US.

Love this. The tag-and-reply part is on the wishlist, honest blocker is that X's API starts at $200 a month to read mentions, which is a lot for a free product with no revenue yet.
The good news: that exact thing already exists on WhatsApp. Text any movie to https://t.co/JOxvNiOPeM and OTTO tells you where it streams in your country, across 34 markets. Free.
And you are right about the second part, new arrivals belong on the handle. That is coming.
We asked OTTASIA and JustWatch the same 100 questions across 10 Asian markets.
Local titles: 38% vs 22%.
Naming a local service: 24% vs 12%.
Hollywood: an exact tie.
Full methodology and raw data inside. https://t.co/qVaGvhuSu9
Google is genuinely good at this for big titles, no argument. Three places it gives up:
Regional catalog. Ask it about titles on aha, Hoichoi or Sun NXT and the panel goes thin or blank. We track the local services, including free-with-ads tiers.
Geography. Google answers for wherever you are standing. Move to Dubai or Dallas and your Indian catalog vanishes. OTTASIA answers for 34 markets, switchable in one tap.
That "scroll down for the OTT date" is usually a rumor article. We publish predicted arrival dates, and then message you the day it actually lands. Google has never once texted anyone "your movie is here."
Google answers when you remember to ask. OTTASIA tells you without being asked. Different job.
My dream: nobody who moves countries should lose their movies😀
Ask any immigrant what Friday night looks like: hunting through five apps to find where YOUR films stream in your new country. Google answers that question for America. I built OTTASIA to answer it for everyone else: 34 markets, 60+ OTT platforms India to the US.
It is already real. Built solo from Chicago: web, iOS, Android, TV apps, even a WhatsApp bot. 3,500 users, and AI assistants like ChatGPT now cite us thousands of times a month.
Funding buys the one thing I cannot build myself: reach. https://t.co/rCtSI02eee
