Congrats to Buffer in launching their new Community product! 🎉
Buffer is an all-you-need social media toolkit for small businesses & creators —one of our longest standing X API dev partners.
Launching new X Developer Kit (XDK) for Python & TypeScript for the X API v2 🚀
With support for OAuth, pagination and streaming, developers can get started with our API quickly and focus on building and scaling their apps.
This highlights our continued commitment to our X developer community.

Join us next Wednesday April 9th at 10:00 am PT to learn about our new developer docs and how you can get started with the X API v2 quickly https://t.co/6OWF3nuH6m
Now available via developer APIs too!
Example:
twurl '/2/users/me?user.fields=verified_followers_count'
Note: this only works for the authenticating user who at least has a premium subscription on X.
Update: Programmatic long-form posts now support up to 25K characters (from 4,000) earlier.
(Accidentally deleted the previous article post while making the update - oops!)
Calling all emergency apps built on X via API! 🚨
Emergency and public utility developer use-cases are vital to our X platform and serving humanity.
We are transforming our API platform to new modern systems and are in the process of migrating all developers to our new X API v2 by June 30th, 2024. Any developer with an emergency or public utility app, will also need to move to our new v2 API by this timeline.
We will continue enabling Verified gov or publicly owned services who post weather alerts, transport updates and emergency notifications without cost.

For those still using our v1.1 API endpoints 🗣️
As part of our ongoing effort to modernize and transform our API platform, we are deprecating some of our v1.1 endpoints and asking you to migrate to the v2 equivalents. These deprecations will allow us to continue building support for the latest X features with our v2 API.
