@SteveSaretsky REITs are responsible for many of the issues around housing. When something as basic as housing became an investment vehicle, this was sure to happen. The government once tried to do away with REITs but imtense lobbying stopped it.
@acoyne It is democracy in action. The Longest Ballot Committee is using it as a protest demanding electoral reform. Right or wrong. I don't have an opinion other than that Pierre Polievre talked to the Convoy (friends) but complains about this (not friends).
@elonmusk It chronicles Juan Pizarro's soldiers finding evidence of indiginous peoples having printed writings which they destroyed and denied the exitence of, because only the writings of the Church were permitted at that time.
@acoyne My opinion is that tolls are good up until the point that they lead to excess profit. The Cobequid Pass section of the TCH in NS was built with tolls. Toll are now gone except for trucks and out-of-province cars. To me, it is a good way to get a highway or a bridge built.
@elonmuskTN C. Don't know. You need a third choice. I have been a Twitter user since 2009. I know there have been changes since you bought it but the changes have not affected me. So, I don't know.
@fordnation@elonmusk@Starlink Why is it that the Starlink technology has not been duplicated by competitors and governments? I am concerned that much of the world, and now Ontario, is coming to rely on one privately owned company for this essential service. Canada is a space nation and we should step up.
@maxfawcett European countries have national broadcasters. Australia and New Zealand too. The reasons to maintain the CBC remain strong, same as they do in most the world. Any intention to defund the CBC is purely political.
