Playing Call of Cthulhu and all of the PCs are avoiding reading any in game material in order to avoid SAN loss. “Knowing is half the battle so by not knowing we bypass half the battle…”
I'm retweeting myself because I think this is awesome. The events in the Ascendant Universe graphic novels were determined by the events in the Ascendant RPG campaign. The players in those games can attest to it, they saw their own activities in the comics.
@Guyver_I@AscendantComics Yes! Almost all of the characters in the books are statted out in Ascendant and Ascendant: Rogues Gallery. Not only that, all of the fights were actually fought by real players using the characters, and the storyline tracks the events of the game.

I asked Claude Fable to help me improve one of ACKS II's subsystems and it routed me back to Opus 4.8. From this we are forced to conclude that any RPG more engaging than ACKS II would literally endanger human welfare.
@NegatveSpace Mostly just wanted to see if an innocuous game design prompt that mentioned biology would cause a guardrail to trigger…. But yes primordial ooze!
Untold devastation was wrought on D&D play when the left half of the painting with the hirelings doing grunt work was omitted, leaving players with the impression that an expected party only had 5 members. 🙃
Along with Dave Sutherland, David A “Tramp” Trampier helped build the AD&D fantasy foundation with his art.
The original AD&D Players Handbook cover, seen here as the full painting, is such a remarkable piece.
@ID_AA_Carmack I suspect you'd really enjoy my magnum opus ACKS II (Adventurer Conqueror King System). I'd be happy to send you a complimentary copy (hardcopy or PDF) as a thank you for the many years of fun I got from your games.
@crescendogames9 I will pat myself on the back when people are routinely using ACKS' Domains at War for massive wargames with thousands of combatants! Perhaps I can allow myself a brief nod of satisfaction, though...
@CWVincent13458 Oh I'm just being silly, I imagine it was just the cover design they settled on. Don't mistake my X posts for truth, it's a terrible error.
