You’re licking their wounds and expecting that to heal your own. They’re healing and you’re still bleeding. That’s not honourable, beloved, that’s just stupid.
We spend a whole lifetime learning how to live, and by the time you feel like you got a hang of things, the credits start rolling. But I guess that’s the beauty of it all.
Learn to enjoy things without feeling the need to share it on your story. Learn to do nice things for people without feeling like you’re owed anything back. Learn to express your opinion without feeling the need to cater to whoever is around you.
Remember your manners, know when to say yes and more importantly know when to say no, protect the women in your life without question, share yourself with others but remember to keep some of yourself for yourself because people can’t drink from your well if it’s empty.
Find and practice patience for those you love, otherwise you don’t truly love them. Learn when to put yourself last and when to put yourself first, both are important. Save your forgiveness for those who deserve it, not everybody should be allowed back in.
Never forget your manners, remember to maintain eye contact when you greet people. Don’t ever eat without offering the people around you a piece. Take care of the women in your life. Take care of yourself too, and not just physically.
