The tracking station is built by a team of four in PICCARD which is responsible for the development of a system able to track the rocket during all flight phases. 🚀

Two weeks ago, the PICCARD team carried out a dry launch at the Innovation Park in Dübendorf. This was the first time the rocket was integrated onto the launch rail, and therefore a significant milestone in our project. 🚀

🚁 Helicopter Drop Test PICCARD 🚀

The recovery team tested their recovery system by performing a helicopter drop test. Separation, drogue descent and main parachute deployment as well as GPS localization could be tested.

The Launch Rail team is working closely with the @EPFL_RocketTeam to create the first student-built launch rail in an ARIS project. The launch rail designed over the past months will ensure the safe launch of our rocket PICCARD.🚀
