@mayrafreemanorg It’s a familiar story. Money matters, but passion matters even more. And that mindset also serves clients best, because it results in the best possible product.
As Howard Roark said in Ayn Rand’s book The Fountainhead: I don’t build to have clients, I have clients to build.
@yulikay My main passions are building my company and cooking. As a content creator I’m better at articles than videos to be honest, but I should do it more consequently.
@LesiaLVD When it comes to attacking individual women I agree with you. I criticize the ultra-conservative Slavic caveman over treatment of women, but also see that mentality become common in the West.
I guess it's the influence of the Trumps and Tates of this world, not white liberals.
@LesiaLVD My special condescension is to Eastern European countries, not people. And the reason is very simple: The EU got worse instead of better with them in it.
Let's take Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria as an example: They are net receivers and serial breachers of the EU treaty.
@LesiaLVD Why is it that Slavic countries tend to become and stay rogue corrupt mafia states even despite EU membership?
And why is it that the Baltic mentality survived despite decades of Soviet oppression?
That is the root of my condescension towards Slavic countries, not individuals.
@LesiaLVD Also it's wrong to put the Baltics in this list. They aren't Eastern European or Slavic. The Baltic mentality is generally closer to western-Europe than the average Slavic mentality.
And that's why the Baltic states are exemplary EU members rather than rogue mafia states.
@LesiaLVD And the EU didn't learn a thing, Bulgaria was let into Schengen despite them failing to end their rule-of-law problems and rampant corruption. We're even negotiation with Serbia, which is even worse than Bulgaria, Hungary or Poland.
@LesiaLVD What's the benefit for a net contributor like the Netherlands to be in an EU with (corrupt) leeches that don't even respect the core provisions of the treaty they voluntarily signed-up for?
@yulikay IMO Cyprus. I’m not a fan of Bulgaria despite having lived there almost 10 years.
Of course it’s a personal thing, some people are more tolerant than me when it comes to the systemic corruption there.
@yulikay I love it here. Cyprus offers me the perfect balance for life and business.
At first I lived near Paphos (Coral Bay), right at the sea. That was great, but very humid. Now I live on the slopes of the Troodos mountains, which I like much more.
