Jerard R. Jackson, a 28-year-old man from Illinois, disappeared after attending the Electric Forest music festival in Michigan. His family says he traveled there with a group of friends, but when the trip ended, the group returned home without him. He was the ONLY black person in the group! Days later, Jerard was found dead in a wooded area near his rental vehicle.
Not only is Meta allowing others to steal, misappropriate, and alter our posted IG profile images, they're allowing companies to do it with reels as well to create ad content without consent and reimbursement. Below is a reel on how to turn it off in settings.
If your Instagram is public, Meta just enrolled you in something you didn't agree to.
Their new AI tool, Muse Image, lets anyone @-mention your Instagram handle in Meta AI and generate images using your face and photos. launched Tuesday. opt-in by default. no notification when it happens.
→ you won't be told when someone creates an AI image of you
→ opting out only stops future generation; anything already made stays live
→ there's no mechanism to remove images created before you opted out
how to turn it off:
Instagram → Profile → Menu (☰) → Sharing and Reuse → turn off Posts and Reels under "Allow people to reuse your content on Instagram and with AI features at Meta"
note: the setting is still rolling out. if you don't see it yet, keep checking.
if you want the strongest protection right now: go private.
It’s been found in the DMV and it is thought it’s being found within fruits and vegetables in SYSCO supplied restaurants and Taylor Farm products. But we don’t have a working CDC or HHS to track so this is gonna be a mess
Microsoft has confirmed a Windows 11 bug that can make a single file grow to 500GB or more, consuming a huge amount of storage.
The file is called CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal. It’s normally only a few MB, but due to the bug it can grow to hundreds of GB on some PCs.
If your storage suddenly looks much lower than expected, search for CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal in File Explorer to see if you’re affected.
Microsoft says the issue has been fixed in the optional KB5095093 update, and the fix will also be rolled out to everyone in the next Windows 11 Patch Tuesday update.
