Proud to see @Uber's work highlighted in Forbes today. I may be biased, but I’ve always believed that engineers are often the first to spot transformative technologies.

Earlier this year, I noticed how many of our engineers were experimenting with Claude to accelerate their work. I tried it myself, and the benefits were immediately clear. Since then, we’ve expanded our use of AI tools, integrating them deeply into our work.

At Uber, our AI strategy combines the best of human judgment and machine intelligence to deliver tangible benefits – focusing on purpose-driven AI with measurable impact. The results speak for themselves: Claude alone has already saved Uber engineers more than 200 years of developer time. 👀 And what began as small pilots with a range of AI tools has now become a foundational part of our day-to-day engineering.

AI won’t replace great engineering, but it will supercharge it. So far, we like what we see!

With earnings results from some of our US competitors today, contextualizing the profitable growth at scale Uber is delivering: In Q2,

Lyft completed 235M trips, adding 30M trips YoY

Doordash completed 761M trips, adding 126M trips YoY

Uber completed 3,268M trips, adding 503M trips YoY

Just our incremental YoY volumes are 2.1X and 0.7X the entire volumes of LYFT and DASH respectively. 🔥
