Most people don’t understand the “Move fast and break things” ethos. The point is not to break things.

The point is that nothing is more impactful than how quickly an organization learns. And that learning requires making mistakes.

So you will “break things” either way and what matters is how quickly you learn, which also means you fix things you break more quickly.

I’ve been saying this for a while. Deposit in the bank isn’t a loan to the bank. I just want you to keep it safe for me and make it easy to use. Charge me what it takes to make that work. But giving depositors money back can’t be a “maybe”.
