I wrote a fantasy book where adventurers in a savage R+ setting get sucked into an interstellar prophecy.
Cities get tossed into space.
Wizards die screaming as their bodies dissolve from overusing magic.
It's not for kids!
COMETFALL: House of the Broken Star
Book 2 coming soon
This is a fine example of why I say 3 star reviews are actually good.
It's basically saying, "This is a good book, but not for me."
Or that some refinements would make it even better.
Edition numbers exist for a reason.
Great review.
A THREAD
I shared this earlier, the review of “The Book of Revelations” that Abby gave me. Obviously, I wouldn’t have done that if I hadn’t liked it. Someone helping me out with the advance notice for the book thought it was great. But I wanted to take a few minutes to offer some perspective on this, and why I was so pleased with a review that wasn’t a five-star review. I got three cookies, which, considering I don’t eat cookies anymore, was plenty. But it’s why I thought I got a fair break that makes all the difference, and why I can recommend her to other authors looking for serious reviews. 1/3
A 16-year-old Aussie kid gets hunted by a Sudanese gang and stabbed 56 times with another 66 blunt force injuries…
One of the killers was released because he was “too young” for murder — then went on to stab and hammer a 60-year-old man in his own home. This is beyond sickening.
@MitchellDHadley@Miss_Lakewood I'm actually doing something similar to the em dashes for one specific character in my second book.
The review made me think about if it's going to have the impact I want.
So they help more than just the og author.
Reading reviews is good for all authors.
@TheBuckYouWill That's only if you don't get raped and murdered by immigrants before making it to 12.
It's rough for kids.
Almost like the adults should revolt or something.
@GSawision@CANAD1AN_KRONiC@Smooths92727686@TimHortons@mario4thenorth That's 3 places.
And not everyone wants immigration to be so reckless that our medical system or supply system cannot keep up.
The people I talk to from coast to coast all want violence against those responsible.
Perhaps if such polar opposite views exist we should civil war.
