And herein lies the conundrum. In the same way, when we say ‘yes’ to someone else, we are saying ‘no’ to ourselves. And when we say ‘yes’ to ourselves, we are saying ‘no’ to someone or something else.
One day, I started exploring my own needs, wants, likes and dislikes. Things I always wanted to do.
Suddenly, I had hobbies. I had things to do in my spare time. I looked forward to having spare time.
And my life seemed so much richer.
The only way to change the culture is to do something differently. The only way to change our brains is to do things differently. If we want to change this – we need to do it ourselves first.
And if we want to change our culture, we need to start doing this differently too.
The problem with this is – there is a never-ending list of things.

As an individual.
AND
As a community.
To be less separate.
Less divided.
More capacity to communicate, negotiate, understand.
Ourselves.
AND
Each other.

Many people struggle to have a healthy relationship with their bodies, with food, or with exercise.
And it requires a mind-body approach.
When we rely on others to tell us;
What is right
Or
What is wrong…
We let go of self inquiry
Connecting with ourselves
Develops understanding
Agency
And
Self determination
When seeking out assistance, ask yourself:
Does this feel like inquiry?
Or imposition?
All Bodies are worthy
No matter what shape
No matter what size
No matter what colour
No matter what ability
No matter what beliefs they hold.
All bodies are welcome here.
