This is why deplatforming without mercy is the solution, and why Twitter under Musk's open tolerance (arguably encouragement) of far right hatred and denialism is so profoundly dangerous.
This platform is cooked and there's a reason we (mostly) stopped tweeting.
We have a lot of institutional experience of dealing with Holocaust denialism on the internet. Mid-2010s Reddit had *problems*.
Today seems to be a day in which that experience is useful.
And no, we're not linking the reasons why, because Rule 1 is No, Don't Link That Shit.
Historians should not be quiet about the Holocaust and the danger of denialism. Righteous anger is entirely appropriate. But we need to do it in a way that doesn't bring these ideas and their proponents out of the shadows and help them reach wider audiences.
