Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE.
If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease!

@WKCosmo Exactly is kinda of a big word here, I might allow “to the same order of magnitude” but even that is not true with all the approximations involved with estimating the mass and the radius of observable universe
@ianmiles Maybe because they don’t want to see their families drowning/dying en route, and they plan to bring them later when its safe? Also it would be nice to have some original content every now and then rather than recycling the trend of the week
@yvanspijk The concept of a “Galaxy” only appeared when Hubble discovered Andromeda in the 1920’s. But before that, the Milky Way was thought to be the whole universe. I assume that the word “Galaxy” was first coined at that time
@yvanspijk No assumptions here my friend, only what i found repeatedly in astro-history books. Thank you for this beautiful infographic, but this only shows the connection between the Mily Way and the word Galaxy, but it doesn’t show which one came first or where they came from
@yvanspijk I’m pretty sure the name comes from arabic origins. Because the shape of the milky way looks like spilled milk behind the vehicle of the milk man, the name in english is a literal translation
@ClimateHuman May i ask for some references for the most impactful work you’ve seen at this meeting so to how much and how are we fucking up? Am an astrophysicist and very interested in learning the argument
@Crypt0cloud I apologize for the harsh tone, I think you do add value. But, in addition to saving bulls, you should also worry about the bears in your audience. Objective analysis and probabilities of both scenarios would be great. With a public twitter account comes great responsibility frnd
