A Legacy That Creates Impact
Every palm tree tells a story of belonging, and every young person carries the opportunity to build on this legacy and create lasting impact. During my visit to the Dubai Dates Exhibition, which beautifully brings together the authenticity of our heritage and the spirit of innovation, I was delighted to honor the winners of the ‘House Palm’ competition. The competition reflects the community’s deep connection to the palm tree as an enduring national symbol and reaffirms that investing in people is the foundation for strengthening the sustainability of our national sectors and shaping their future. Preserving our heritage begins within the family by empowering young people and continues through national initiatives that promote sustainability and support the future of the agricultural sector.

إرثٌ يصنع الأثر
في كل نخلة حكاية انتماء، وفي كل شاب فرصة لمواصلة هذا الإرث والعطاء لصناعة الأثر.. في زيارة إلى معرض دبي للرطب، الذي يجمع بين أصالة الموروث وروح التطوير، سعدت بتكريم الفائزين في منافسة «نخلة البيت» التي تعكس ارتباط المجتمع بالنخلة بوصفها رمزاً وطنياً راسخاً، وتؤكد أن الاستثمار في الإنسان هو الطريق لتعزيز استدامة القطاعات الوطنية وصناعة مستقبلها.. الحفاظ على الموروث يبدأ من الأسرة وتمكين الشباب، ويستمر بمبادرات وطنية تعزز الاستدامة وتدعم مستقبل القطاع الزراعي.

Readiness Shapes the Future
The UAE invests in its youth before anything else, because people are the foundation of development and the driving force behind every achievement. Today, I was pleased to attend the press conference launching the National Readiness Program, “Ghatareef,” introduced by the Federal Youth Authority under the direction of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, and with the support of our wise leadership. The program reflects the UAE’s vision of preparing young people with the knowledge, skills, and readiness to contribute to serving their nation. The readiness of our youth today is the foundation for sustaining our development journey, strengthening the competitiveness of our national sectors, and creating the opportunities of tomorrow.

جاهزية تصنع المستقبل
تستثمر دولة الإمارات في شبابها قبل أن تستثمر في أي شيء آخر، لأن الإنسان هو أساس التنمية وصانع الإنجازات. سعدت اليوم بحضور المؤتمر الصحفي لإطلاق برنامج الجاهزية الوطنية "غطاريف"، الذي أطلقته المؤسسة الاتحادية للشباب بتوجيهات مجلس التعليم والتنمية البشرية والمجتمع، ومباركة قيادتنا الرشيدة، ليجسد نهج دولة الإمارات في إعداد شباب يمتلكون المعرفة والمهارة والجاهزية للإسهام في خدمة وطنهم.. جاهزية شبابنا اليوم هي الضمانة لمواصلة مسيرة التنمية، وتعزيز تنافسية القطاعات الوطنية، وصناعة فرص الغد.

Youth Leading Lasting Impact
I was pleased to attend the closing ceremony of the second edition of Al Ain Youth Week and witness the remarkable initiatives and high-quality programs that reflected the dedication of young people, in partnership with various entities, to create a rich learning experience that positively impacted hundreds of participants.
I also had the pleasure of celebrating the graduation of the first group of Zood Ambassadors and the Writing and Dialogue Management Program—a milestone that reflects our commitment to equipping young people with the awareness, skills, and initiative needed to shape the future.
What we achieved reaffirms that empowering youth begins with trusting them and giving them the space to lead. Through experiences like these, we are building national capabilities that contribute to the UAE’s aspirations and create a lasting, positive impact on society.

جهود شبابية تصنع الأثر
سعدت بحضور الحفل الختامي للنسخة الثانية من أسبوع العين للشباب، والاطلاع على ما حققه من مبادرات وبرامج نوعية عكست حجم الجهد الذي قاده الشباب، بالشراكة مع مختلف الجهات، لصناعة تجربة معرفية ثرية امتدت آثارها إلى مئات المشاركين.. كما شهدت تخريج الدفعة الأولى من سفراء زود، وبرنامج كتابة وإدارة الحوار، في خطوة تجسد حرصنا على إعداد شباب يمتلكون الوعي والمهارات وروح المبادرة.. ما تحقق يؤكد أن تمكين الشباب يبدأ بمنحهم الثقة والمساحة لقيادة المبادرات، فبهذه التجارب نبني قدرات وطنية تسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات الإمارات وتصنع أثراً مستداماً في المجتمع.

Young People Carrying the Legacy
Every palm tree tells a story, and every generation has a responsibility to preserve and nurture it. I was delighted to visit the Liwa Date Festival and take part in a youth circle, where young participants shared inspiring ideas and perspectives that reinforce our agricultural heritage as a cornerstone of a more sustainable future.
Investing in young people means investing in our nation’s key sectors—empowering them to lead initiatives that strengthen food security, preserve the Emirati identity, and ensure this legacy remains alive in the hearts of future generations while continuing to shape the future.

شباب يحملون الإرث
لكل نخلة قصة، ولكل جيل مسؤولية في الحفاظ عليها وتطويرها.. سعدت بزيارة مهرجان ليوا للرطب والمشاركة في حلقة شبابية، قدم الشباب خلالها رؤى وأفكار ترسخ الإرث الزراعي كركيزة لبناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.. مواصلة الاستثمار في الشباب تعني الاستثمار في قطاعاتنا الوطنية، وتمكينهم من قيادة المبادرات التي تعزز الأمن الغذائي، وتحافظ على الهوية الإماراتية، ليبقى هذا الإرث حاضراً في وجدان الأجيال، ومستمراً في صناعة المستقبل.

على هامش منتدى الأمم المتحدة السياسي رفيع المستوى المعني بالتنمية المستدامة، استضافت دولة الإمارات فعالية جانبية بعنوان "تمكين جيل المستقبل: الطريق إلى مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمياه 2026"، أكدت خلالها أن ما يقارب نصف سكان العالم يواجهون شحّ المياه، وأن وتيرة التقدم نحو تحقيق الهدف السادس من أهداف التنمية المستدامة لا تزال غير كافية، مشددة على أن المياه تمثل عنصراً أساسياً لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة، وتعزيز الكرامة الإنسانية، والصحة العامة، والأمن الغذائي، وأنظمة الطاقة، والقدرة على التكيف مع التغير المناخي، والازدهار، والسلم والأمن.

وأعلن معالي الدكتور سلطان بن سيف النيادي، وزير دولة لشؤون الشباب، إطلاق برنامج مبعوثي الشباب العالمي للمياه، ليشكل منصة نوعية تمكّن الشباب من الاضطلاع بدور فاعل في دبلوماسية المياه، تمهيداً لمؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمياه وما بعده.

From space, Earth appears as one planet without borders. Water is what connects us all and forms the foundation of our shared future.

I was pleased to launch the Global Youth Water Envoys Programme, one of the Arab Youth Center’s programmes, on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), to empower young people to lead the global dialogue on the future of water security and strengthen their role in shaping policies and sustainable solutions ahead of the 2026 UN Water Conference and beyond.

We believe that empowering young people means empowering innovative ideas and ambitious minds capable of creating lasting impact. Investing in their potential today is an investment in a more prosperous and sustainable future for generations to come.

من الفضاء نرى الأرض كوكباً واحداً بلا حدود، وتبقى المياه الرابط الذي يجمعنا وتشكل أساس مستقبلنا المشترك.

سعدت بإطلاق برنامج مبعوثي الشباب العالمي للمياه، أحد برامج مركز الشباب العربي، على هامش المنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى (HLPF)، لتمكين الشباب من قيادة الحوار حول مستقبل الأمن المائي، وتعزيز مشاركتهم في صياغة السياسات والحلول المستدامة استعداداً لمؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمياه 2026 وما بعده.

نؤمن بأن تمكين الشباب هو تمكين للأفكار المبتكرة والطموحات القادرة على صناعة أثر مستدام، وأن الاستثمار في طاقاتهم اليوم هو استثمار في مستقبل أكثر ازدهاراً للأجيال القادمة.

Where ambition comes together.
I was delighted to witness the launch of the first dedicated youth space in Al Ain, established through a youth-led collaboration between the Al Ain Youth Council and the Youth Council of the Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution. This space will serve as a platform where young people come together to collaborate, exchange ideas, and develop initiatives inspired by the needs and aspirations of their community.
In the UAE, we continue to build a national ecosystem that empowers young people by creating spaces that strengthen their participation, broaden their horizons, and open new opportunities to contribute to the nation’s development journey.
When young people have a place where their voices are heard, they become more empowered to take initiative and play a greater role in shaping the future.

حيث يلتقي الطموح
سعدت باعتماد أول مساحة شبابية في مدينة العين، بتعاون شبابي بين مجلس العين للشباب ومجلس شباب المؤسسة العامة لحديقة الحيوان والأحياء المائية بالعين، لتكون منصة تجمع الشباب للعمل المشترك، وصناعة الأفكار التي تنطلق من احتياجات المجتمع وتطلعاته.. في دولة الإمارات نواصل بناء منظومة وطنية تمنح الشباب المساحات التي تعزز مشاركتهم، وتوسع آفاقهم، وتفتح أمامهم فرص الإسهام في مسيرة التنمية.. عندما يجد الشباب المكان الذي يستمع إلى صوتهم، يصبحون أكثر قدرة على المبادرة، وأكثر تأثيراً في رسم ملامح المستقبل.

From Idea to Impact
When the right environment is created, ideas evolve into projects, and ambitions become lasting impact that shapes the future.
I was pleased to participate in the launch of the Sustainability Leaders Lab, in partnership with Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Youth Council, as well as the inauguration of the first youth space within Dubai’s public parks under the Work from the Park initiative, in collaboration with the Dubai Municipality Youth Council.
This new space will serve as a platform that brings young people together with leaders and experts, providing an inspiring environment to work, innovate, and develop solutions that contribute to building a more sustainable city and enhancing quality of life.
In the UAE, we remain committed to investing in people by creating an environment that empowers young people to innovate, excel, and play an active role as partners in shaping the future and advancing our national aspirations.

من الفكرة للإنجاز
عندما تتوفر البيئة المناسبة، تتحول الأفكار إلى مشاريع، والطموحات إلى أثر يمتد للمستقبل.. سعدت بالمشاركة في إطلاق "مختبر قادة الاستدامة" بالشراكة مع بلدية دبي ومجلس دبي للشباب، واعتماد أول مساحة شبابية ضمن الحدائق العامة في دبي في إطار مبادرة "العمل من الحديقة"، بالتعاون مع مجلس شباب بلدية دبي، لتكون منصة تجمع الشباب بالقيادات والخبراء، وتمنحهم مساحة للعمل والابتكار وتطوير الحلول التي تسهم في بناء مدينة أكثر استدامة وجودة للحياة.. نواصل في دولة الإمارات الاستثمار في الإنسان، وتوفير البيئة التي تفتح أمام الشباب فرص الإبداع والإنجاز، وتعزز دورهم شركاء في تصميم المستقبل وتحقيق المستهدفات الوطنية.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to my father’s home in Umm Ghafah, Al Ain, was a moment that truly reflected the close bond between our wise leadership and the people of the UAE. His inspiring words embodied the vision of a leader who believes that people are the nation’s greatest strength, and that the UAE’s enduring success is built upon the unity between its leadership and its people.
May Allah protect His Highness and continue to bless the UAE with security, prosperity, and lasting stability.

زيارة سيدي صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، حفظه الله، لمنزل والدي بمنطقة أم غافة في العين، كانت لحظة تجسد قُرب القائد الحكيم من أبناء شعبه، ومشاركتهم تفاصيل حياتهم..حديث سمو المُلهم يعكس رؤية قائد يؤمن بأن الإنسان هو أساس الوطن، وأن قوة الإمارات تكمن في تلاحم قيادتها وشعبها.. نسأل الله أن يحفظ سموه، ويديم على الإمارات أمنها وعزها واستقرارها.
