This person agreed to a job. The job had a rate. They were paid that rate. Now they’re writing a complaint post saying it’s unfair that the movie did so well and that it was hard work and they want more money. This must be peak millennial mindset. In life you negotiate terms, you do the job, and if it’s a winning job you use that to negotiate better terms on future jobs. Everyone who has worked has an experience of doing a job that someone else got more upside for. Everyone who has built a career has the experience of doing multiple roles and making something work no matter what. You don’t complain, you leverage the win to keep rising in your life.

By complaining like this, this person alienated themselves from being chosen for future jobs by people who won’t want to work with someone problematic. At the end of their post this person is also calling for other people to come forward and complain, which will make them even more likely to be seen as a liability by future employers who won’t want to risk dealing with a situation like this themselves.

There surely was a better way to handle this that would result in them bettering their career situation rather than publicly blasting a production because they didn’t like what they agreed to and how successful the film became without them having any participation in the upside.
