Yesterday , I called on the people of Osun State to put an end to female genital mutilation in all its forms.

Our young girls deserve to grow up safe, empowered, and free from practices that harm their bodies and futures.

Earlier today, I joined the nursing student of Osun state general hospital Asubiaro and other stakeholders to advocate for the zero tolerance of female genital mutilation in Osun state.

The harmful practices of the age long female genital mutilation is well documented that it has health, social, economic, emotional and sexual complications.

It is our collective responsibilities to build up the space together to increase education and awareness in schools and communities to stop the cultural practices.
