China’s J-36 Is Playing In A Completely Different League!

What caught my attention is the claimed range and combat radius of China’s sixth generation J-36. We’re talking about a massive aircraft weighing 50-60 tonnes at takeoff, with a range exceeding 6,000 km and a combat radius of over 4,000 km.

The exhibition display also claims a maximum speed of Mach 2-5.2, although that extraordinary figure remains unverified.

Here’s why I believe sixth generation fighters could change the entire game. It’s no longer just about who has the most fighter jets. It’s about who can detect the enemy first, process information faster, coordinate drones, and strike deep inside hostile territory before the opponent can respond.

If the J-36 delivers even a substantial portion of these claimed capabilities, it could become a serious challenge for traditional airpower planning.

One thing is clear, the next generation of air warfare could look very different from what we see today.
