"For the first time in 46 days, we have to deal with the unfortunate reality of a Knicks loss... this one hurts"
@JCMacriNBA's opening thoughts after the Knicks Game 3 loss in the NBA Finals, snapping their 13-game winning streak.
This is why nothing will compare to 2021 really.
The Knicks being good for the first time in almost a decade was nothing but pure fandom and joy on the streets.
@tripleMwassup's video of us hitting .500 is exactly what it was like.
Tthe LONE playoff win vs the Hawks? Real fans in disbelief that we were looking competent again.
Don't step on the foul line. Don't ever talk about a no-hitter. Eat chicken every day. Break up a slump with a golden thong. Wear a rally cap. Brush your teeth between innings.
Sports is full of superstitions -- and none more so than baseball. So we talked with the king of 'em.
“Offensively, we were about as stagnant as I've seen us all year…”
The Knicks hadn’t lost since April 23.
The return of their entitlement problems changed that, more than anything else:

OG Anunoby tells me the stagnant Knicks offense in Game 3 was a result of a lack of focus.
Says they have to move forward, review film, and make sure it doesn't happen again.
Knicks ain’t winnin em all. Sloppy play wastes an OG Anunoby masterclass. 21 points off turnovers and sub par play led to the L.
Knicks up 2-1 with a pivotal game 4 on deck Wednesday.
#those vibes were nasty work lmaooooooo
Mike Brown: “Maybe we fouled 24 times but I’m baffled by (Spurs getting called for just 10 fouls in second half).”
“If they do this in Game 4…it’s going to be tough for us to win,” Mike Brown says of foul discrepancy/uneven calls in Game 3.
Mike Brown is excited to see a frustrated Knicks team:
"I told our guys, it's a seven-game series for a reason. They're a great team, they're well coached. They got an iconic player, you know? It's not gonna be easy. We have to keep trying to take one game, one possession, at a time. There are some things that we can control that I didn't think we controlled tonight. Like I said, maybe we fouled 24 times. But I'm baffled that they only fouled 8 in the second half."
"I never thought I'd be in an NBA Finals and see in the 2nd half 24 free throw attempts to another team's 8…San Antonio's a great team…It's gonna lower our odds big time if in Game 4 they get 24 free throws 2nd half to our 8"

That's the loss, feels weird to lose I can't lie
San Antonio is a good team, wasn't going to be that easy. Think this one could've went either way with some tweaks
KAT can't ghost through with a small on him like he did/players need to give him the ball. Defense had some lapses, especially at the POA. Stephon Castle had himself a game and that can't happen.
I don't think the Knicks will ever get a good whistle, seems like San Antonio's physical defense is much like OKC in that everything blends in.
Rotation wise I thought Brown rode with Shamet and Clarkson too long over McBride who didn't get consistent run in this game. I know Clarkson was scoring but the defense was tough
Back to 0-0 on Wednesday
