The Journal of Aurace the Shadewalker - Day 1

"Your life begins when you find your purpose."

As I grew up, that phrase was drilled into me more than any other, Or maybe I just listened to it more than any other. We all have them. Those things, either seen or heard or thought that call to us over and over and mold our growth.

And so, my life begins today. As I sit here writing. In the corner of this cave. Cold and wet, yet oddly comfortable. It's dark, but somehow I can see. I'm writing, although I haven't written in ages.

I'm old enough that I've been taught how to write. But I'm young enough to have seen my lessons cut short by the first book burnings. At the time, I didn't see the dangers of the burnings. Like the other young shadewalkers, I celebrated what I thought would be a new freedom. But so much is gone now. So much is missing.

Yes, our society has gained so much from the magic of the unlocked marrow. But it has also gained new levels of emptiness that have ensnared many in my generation. Some call us the Bridge Generation, a name filled with honor and hope. Others call us the Lost Generation, which, so far at least, is more deserved.

But as one that has waited many years for my real life to begin, I know now that things can change. Part of me wants to write all night. But I also need to sleep.

There will be many days.

Story Time: A little background lore to Warrior Frog

After v1 Azurians - we went back and polled the community with various moodboards on direction for the new art

On one of the moodboards (the “jungle punk” moodboard) was an image of a frog that looked like a warrior…

If there’s one thing crypto seems to love… it’s fun-looking, memeable frogs

Amongst a sea of other images on the moodboards, there was an outcry of love for this warrior frog, which was just at the time a small image on a vast moodboard that made some people smile

Many clamored for this warrior frog… so we wanted to immortalize this moment with the community with the Warrior Frog 1/1… revealed today via a 1/1 golden root by @CryptoEcons

In that way, this 1/1 is a piece of Azurian history, an ode to working together with the community… and fitting to be revealed on day 1 of 2024
