favorite resignation event I've ever experienced was throwing a baby shower for a girl at work and she revealed the baby was actually to one of our supervisors, then said it was her last day. we were shocked, but they seemed really happy. we thought it was for maternity leave and to avoid the HR thing.. UNTIL the receptionist came up to congratulate her, get a piece of cake, and he mushed her with it.

and that was how we discovered our supervisor was also sleeping with the receptionist... and was more equal opportunity than we ever imagined.

Thank you for your kindness and the trust you have placed on me. I do not regret to inform you that @the_beardedsina and I have decided to step down from Aunty Esther's matter. The previous tweet is my best attempt at salvaging the situation. But I've been tired for a while.

While we respect her religious belief, we do not have to be a part of it and the ensuing consequences. Her church people have said she would be disfellowshiped if she takes the blood transfusion. Her family have said whatever happens to her, is the will of God, while fighting against blood transfusion. It is best we leave her in their care if religion trumps medical science. Dr Sina has spoken with care and medical experience, and all of that fell on deaf ears.

My best wishes goes to @AUNTYMUSE_ who has been by Aunty Esther's side daily. She leaves the house at first light to be with Aunty Esther and most nights, sleep on the floor, just to look after her. She is the liaison between myself and Dr Sina on one hand, and the hospital or Aunty Esther on the other hand . Still, there is no insult she has not gotten from Aunty Esther on this matter. In fact, Aunty Esther asked her to lie to Dr Sina and me, about her decision, but she refused. Aunty Esther is not a good or honest person.

I'm not sure what to do with the money now. But I'll be happy to leave it in the care of the family or church to do as they please. Dr Sina and I have agreed to compensate @AUNTYMUSE_ for her time and effort. It is an uneasy job to be a care giver.

Japheth Njoku (32, died May 2025): A newly married trader at Alaba International Market, Owerri, and a first-time father, he was arrested on April 20, 2025, over a false accusation of stealing N15 million made by a fellow trader, Oluchi Obiagwu, who had connections with the police.

He was held at Tiger Base (Imo State Police Command’s anti-kidnapping unit), where Inspector Barnabas and other officers subjected him to severe and continuous torture while demanding a N4 million ransom. Even after his death, police reportedly continued to deceive the family by claiming he was alive and accepting food meant for him.

His body was later secretly taken to the morgue of Federal University Teaching Hospital, Owerri. Njoku’s family is seeking justice.

So the wedding did not hold yesterday.

He suggested court as they already did traditional, but she insisted on the church wedding.

Meaning she still wants him to cut off the beards.
