Summer Learning Spotlight: Green Street Academy launched its Summer Boost program with an educational field trip to the Smithsonian's National Zoo. The excursion allowed students to examine diverse wildlife habitats, including exhibits dedicated to giant pandas, red pandas, elephants, primates, and exotic birds. The visit served as an interactive learning opportunity to help students compare regional ecosystems with global wildlife populations as part of the academy's summer enrichment curriculum.

When you log in to the Campus Portal, select the three lines in the upper-left corner. Then select More, followed by Online Registration. You should see the Annual Verification start button for the 2026–27 school year.

Summer Learning Spotlight: Armistead Gardens students participating in the Middle Grades Partnership (MGP) program at Maryvale engaged in hands-on engineering as they designed, tested, and refined raft models. Students evaluated performance under windy conditions, returned to the drawing board to make improvements, and continued iterating their designs in preparation for final races. The experience highlighted creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork through the full engineering design process—from concept to testing and revision.

Members of Carver's International Club participated in a multi-city European educational tour. The student group traveled to Paris and France before transitioning to Berlin and Germany to study local history, languages, and culture.

Students from Augusta Fells and surrounding high schools participated in a kick-off celebration for the Urban Alliance Baltimore Year-Round Fellows Internship. The event formally introduced the student fellows to their corporate hosts within the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses network.

The kick-off marked the conclusion of an eight-month preparation period, during which the fellows completed professional skill training, career exploration, and leadership workshops. The celebration featured a networking lunch, an alumni panel discussion, and initial mentor-mentee meetings to prepare the students for their upcoming summer work placements.

At the end of the school year, Furman SGA members visited Baltimore City Hall to study local governance firsthand. During the educational tour, students met with Mayor Brandon M. Scott, Councilmember Zac Blanchard, and other members of the City Council to learn about municipal operations and leadership. The visit aimed to inspire civic engagement and future leadership among students.
