The Uprising is the name of a new movie about a very old and yet strangely familiar story. The Uprising tells the story of what schools used to call The Peasants' Revolt - the ferocious rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard Il in 1381. Starring Andrew Garfield - best known for playing spiderman in a film written and directed by Paul Greengrass - best known for directing high-intensity thrillers like the Jason Bourne films and Captain Phillips. Greengrass - a fomer journalist on the World in Action current affairs programme - is fascinated by the abuse of power and how we react to it. I hope you’ll agree it’s a fascinating listen.
