Express President and General Manager Tali Campbell has announced the hiring of Kierra Spence as the team’s new Athletic Therapist & Equipment Manager!
Kierra joins us from Winnipeg, where she has served as the Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager with the Winnipeg Monarchs since 2023.
A Certified Athletic Therapist and University of Winnipeg graduate, Kierra brings experience in injury assessment and rehabilitation, concussion management, taping and injury prevention, along with the day-to-day equipment demands of a hockey program, including skate sharpening, equipment repair and team travel preparation.
Her experience extends across hockey, rugby, volleyball and other high-performance sports. Most recently, Kierra served as the Athletic Therapist for the male team at the 2026 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.
We’re thrilled to have Kierra joining our organization and look forward to welcoming her to Coquitlam later this week!

Justin Ivanusec will be back wearing black and yellow for his final season of Junior hockey.
Last season he tallied 22 points, 13 goals and nine assists.
Coquitlam Express President and General Manager Tali Campbell has announced the hiring of Jim Camazzola as the team’s new Assistant Coach. Camazzola joins Head Coach Mark Coletta and Associate Coach Mike Nesbitt on the Express coaching staff for the 2026-27 season.
Camazzola brings an extensive hockey background to the Express as both a player and coach. Originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft, Camazzola went on to enjoy a lengthy professional playing career before retiring following the 2001-02 season.
Since transitioning into coaching, Camazzola has worked at a variety of levels, bringing decades of experience, perspective and knowledge of the game to the Express bench.
“We’re really excited to add Jim to our staff,” said Campbell. “When you have the opportunity to bring in someone with Jim’s experience and knowledge of the game, it’s something you don’t pass up. He’s been around hockey for a long time, he understands players, and he knows what it takes to compete at a high level.
“We already feel very strongly about the staff we have with Mark and Mike, and Jim adds another experienced voice to that group. I think the three of them will complement each other extremely well, and ultimately our players are going to benefit from having that much knowledge and experience around them every day.”

We continued our yearly tradition with our Bottle Drive Fundraiser at Top Prospect Camp.
The guys were split into groups and had to head into the community to collect bottles. The group with the most money raised gets to pick the charity the money will be donated too.
The Coquitlam Express are excited to announce the signing of 2006-born forward Chase Valliant.
A native of Surrey, BC, Valliant brings significant major junior experience to the Express lineup, having appeared in 183 WHL games and recorded 52 points.
Prior to his WHL career, Valliant suited up for the Yale Hockey Academy U18 Prep team, where he produced an impressive 42 points in just 27 games.
“We’re extremely excited to add Chase to our group. He brings a wealth of experience from the WHL and is a player who can make an impact in all areas of the game. “ said Tali Campbell, President and GM of the Express “His compete level, maturity, and offensive ability will be great additions to our lineup. We believe Chase will be an important piece for us, and we’re looking forward to seeing him in an Express jersey.”

This morning, Express President & General Manager Tali Campbell and Director of Operations Cole Iantorno met with Mike Jennings of the Coquitlam Men’s Shed Society to officially announce an exciting new community partnership.
As part of the partnership, members of Coquitlam Men’s Shed will be welcomed to the Express Performance Centre once a month for complimentary training sessions, providing an opportunity to stay active, build strength, and connect with others in a positive and welcoming environment.
Coquitlam Men’s Shed provides a space for men in our community to build friendships, stay connected, share skills and experiences, and support one another. Their work aligns closely with our belief that sport and fitness can play an important role in creating stronger, healthier and more connected communities.
We’re proud to welcome the members of Coquitlam Men’s Shed to the Express family and look forward to seeing them at the Performance Centre throughout the year!

Congratulations to Cole Bishop who has signed with the Allen Americans in the ECHL.
Last season Bishop was our Assistant Captain who in 51 games tallied 32 points, 21 goals and 11 assists.

Coquitlam Express President and General Manager Tali Campbell announced today that the club has acquired 2006-born forward Miles Burgin and 2006-born defenceman Anthony Ip from the Surrey Eagles.
In exchange, the Express have traded 2006-born defencemen Jack Sullivan and Mitch Kniedel, along with future considerations, to Surrey.
Burgin brings a dynamic offensive presence and strong two-way ability up front, while Ip adds experience, poise, and stability to the Express blue line as the club continues to build its roster for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
“We’re very excited to welcome Miles and Anthony to the Coquitlam Express,” said President and General Manager Tali Campbell. “Both are proven BCHL players who bring a combination of skill, character, and competitiveness that fits exactly what we’re building here.”
Express President and General Manager Tali Campbell has announced the hiring of Cole Iantorno as the clubs new Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Cole is a Registered Kinesiologist, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Athletic Trainer with experience in athlete development, hockey performance, and injury rehabilitation.
Since 2021, Cole has worked as a Registered Kinesiologist at Manhas Health Co., helping athletes and individuals recover from injury and return to sport. Alongside his clinical work, he has served as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Valley West Giants U15 and U17 programs, as well as the Strength & Conditioning Coach and on-ice coach for the Port Moody Panthers.
