The government has recently announced the launch of free AI training courses for adults across the UK, aiming to reach 10 million workers by 2030.
The courses are designed to help people build confidence using AI tools at work, as adoption of the technology accelerates across sectors.
In BBC coverage of the announcement, BCS CEO Sharron Gunn welcomed the move, while emphasising that responsibility for adapting to AI cannot sit with workers alone, and that understanding of technology must extend to board level.
At BCS, we support initiatives that widen access to learning, while continuing to champion professional standards, governance, and the responsible use of technology.
