Starting next month, the subsidised diesel price will be reduced and standardised to RM2.10 per litre nationwide.
"Subsidi diesel akan disalurkan terus melalui pengesahan MyKad, manakala bukan warganegara perlu membeli diesel pada harga tanpa subsidi," said Putrajaya.
Currently, diesel is sold at RM2.15 per litre at all petrol stations in Sabah and Sarawak, compared to the unsubsidised retail price of RM4.37 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia.

The Environment Department has rejected the EIA for Lynas Rare Earths’ proposed expansion of its Gebeng, Pahang plant, without stating the reasons for the decision.
The expansion plan would have raised annual processing capacity from 95,000 to 110,000 tonnes, while increasing radioactive WLP residue by about 16% to 2.5 million tonnes by 2031, Malaysiakini reports.

A weak 3.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in waters off Batu Pahat early this morning, about 20km southwest of the district, at a depth of 10km.
