Indeed. I’ve seen some post-delivery pictures of Katrina Kaif, and I think she looks beautiful. Motherhood seems to have enhanced her beauty, and she is carrying it remarkably well. So why body-shame her for gaining weight?
Why are we setting such unhealthy beauty standards?
People age. We develop wrinkles. Once-perfect body parts begin to sag. Grey hairs appear, hair starts thinning or falling out. These are all normal physiological changes that come with ageing.
Whether it is Salman Khan, Aishwarya, Deepika, Kareena or Katrina, everyone will go through this process. We all will.
So I have never understood why people mock normal physiological changes that every one of us will eventually face.
Perhaps the focus should be on health rather than looks.
The pursuit of beauty should never become an exercise in meaningless vanity.
