Banaras Hindu University has launched a new scheme aimed at further strengthening its teaching infrastructure and enhancing students' research capabilities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Under the scheme, financial support will be provided for proposals submitted by faculty members for the modernization of teaching laboratories. As part of the initiative, major proposals with an outlay of ₹25 lakh and above will be considered for funding.

The visiting teachers shared that the academic tour had enriched them through exposure to BHU's academic, research & administrative ecosystem, enabling meaningful exchange of ideas. They appreciated BHU's blend of academic excellence, ethical values and vibrant academic culture.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi interacted with a delegation of 40 teachers from Government Colleges across Uttarakhand, currently on an academic tour to #BHU under the Uttarakhand Government's Higher Education Quality Enhancement and Knowledge Enrichment Programme.

Prof. Chaturvedi described the initiative as a significant step for faculty development. He encouraged participants to adopt academic, research & administrative best practices observed at BHU & emphasised that institutional collaboration is key to strengthening higher education.

The Government of India is strengthening the AI ecosystem through Centres of Excellence (CoE) in Artificial Intelligence.

These initiatives were outlined in the written reply given by Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, @DrSukantaBJP, in the Rajya Sabha.
