#French Minister for Higher Education, Research and Space, Prof Philippe Baptiste, currently on India visit, called on accompanied by a high level delegation.

The long-standing relationship between the two countries provides an opportunity to build a larger ecosystem by bringing together governments, research institutions, industries and StartUps.

India-France Space cooperation is as old as the two countries’ respective Space agencies, with the partnership progressing from sounding rocket experiments in the 1960s to present-day human spaceflight. Megha-Tropiquesand SARAL, jointly built by #ISRO and CNES, as well as cooperation in launch vehicle engine development, are some of the milestones of this enduring partnership. The realisation of the third joint satellite, TRISHNA, is also progressing well.

In the wider context, India-France scientific cooperation exists spanning biotechnology, digital sciences and technologies and ocean sciences. There is continuing engagement through institutions and mechanisms such as CEFIPRA and Indo-French joint centres.

Also complimented the French Minister for the successful conduct of the recently held "International Space Summit" which carried a virtual message from Prime Minister of India, Sh @narendramodi.
