Accusing BTS of using them for press as if we forgot that their Weverse live after the Grammys a few years ago got more real-time viewers than the show itself

True, Grammys is a US show like the Brits is a UK show. The difference is that the Grammys allow for global submissions in each category, unlike the Brits. Perspective, year 1 is an Asian pop performance category. Next year, maybe they roll out Best Asian Pop Album. Then what? Asian Pop duo/group? So then all main pop has to be in English. The rest defaults to Asian. How about they just add English only to each category now? This is really just about English & making sure voters don’t listen to songs or artists they don’t want to judge.

I really didn't like this YouTuber because years ago, he made videos being dismissive and disrespectful towards BTS and their music.

It felt like he was making an attempt to cater to audiences that were dismissive of BTS solely due to their popularity at that time.

@btsbeingbtsyt Like not only was he snarky but also microaggressive in the way he mocked their English pronunciation and tried to push a narrative of PTD being an "anti-mask anthem". He was on the front lines of all the BTS hate and is now trying to act like he was never a part of it.

I was cooking downstairs and my dad unprovoked asked me what happened with my "BTS guys" because he read the news about them boycotting the Grammys and thought it was odd so he waited til he got home from work to ask me for more details. 😭

By putting them in different boxes based upon continents and languages, you are adding more barriers, making it harder for foreign artists to be seen and appreciated for their contributions to music, and for their impact and influence.

BTS have actually had this stance for a really long time. This is the first time that they've boycotted a professional organization over it.

They've always believed that music transcends all boundaries and barriers crested by mankind.

It was a time when you would get a lot of likes for making a hate tweet and even racist tweet that was about BTS.

They'd negatively talk about the "K-Pop" community, but it was mostly about us since our presence is quite large. They'd generalize us and stereotype us.
