Hi, Stephan! We hear you, and we definitely saw it!
Reach suppression is painful when youโre posting genuine, thoughtful content.
While we canโt control how platforms distribute posts, analytics can help you spot patterns in what does break through, so you can double down on whatโs working for you rather than guessing.
That said, if the playing field feels off, diversifying where you post is worth considering too. Your ideas deserve more than one channel!

Stop asking AI to write your posts. Start asking it to analyze the ones you already wrote.
Three prompts ๐
1. Pull all my [network] posts from the last [time period] โ caption, date, and all analytics.
2. Build me an artifact analyzing my pillars, top + bottom performers, and hooks. Don't generalize from best practices, only use my data.
3. Here are my goals for [network]: [goals]. Use that analysis and act as my content coach. What should I change to hit them?"
We've recently shifted our AI strategy at Buffer. Rather than packing AI features into the product, our focus is making Buffer great to use with AI. It's about flexibility, interoperability and extensibility. We're making Buffer delightful to use and build upon.
@TimoBuilds_@novae1532@typefully Ah, I'm sorry to hear that @TimoBuilds_ . If you have a moment to spare, would you be willing to share what issues you were running into when using Buffer on mobile (or functionality you were missing)? This is exactly the kind of feedback that is super valuable for us! - Mel
Hey folks, earlier today, a post went out from our X account that we didn't publish. We've since removed it, and are looking into what happened.
If you clicked the link, take steps to ensure your laptop doesn't have malicious software installed.
Thank you to everyone who flagged this so quickly, we appreciate you!
Great question! I'll check with the team to see if that's possible. The truth is that at the moment our system expects media files that are 'ready to go' - like the post office expects a parcel ready to be delivered. I suspect that having our systems unwrap, sort, reject and repackage the uploads would be a big challenge - yet it would definitely make life easier!

@GeneNash Thanks so much, Gene, we thoroughly appreciate the confirmation and update on this! I'm confident you'll get this running nice and smoothly going forward ๐ช - Danny
Halo!
Thanks for sharing, Gene! I think we've got to the bottom of this one.
When a second channel is added after you've already started writing, Buffer splits the post into a separate version for each network. So once they're split, edits you make to the original won't always carry across to the second channel's copy. I've attached a recording.
Could this be what happened here, Gene? Would you mind letting me know if it happens again? - Mel
@GeneNash Hi again Gene! Looking at the logs, it seems like the original post was composed, then "customize for each network" was clicked, then you came up with edits but possibly just entered the edits for one network. Does that sound possible? -Lexi
@Lucas7yoshi_RS@oilmoneyfcdan Ah, that makes sense. I too am not a designer but will flag it for our designers to take a look. Appreciate you digging into this and for the screenshots. ๐If anything else comes up, just give us a shout! - Mel
@Lucas7yoshi_RS@oilmoneyfcdan Hi, Lucas! This needs to be toggled on when you're creating a post within your Buffer dashboard to be marked as AI, wondering if you tapped it by accident! Here's more: https://t.co/pCMUu09cf7 Hope this helps ๐ค -Lexi
@DerekColley_ Woohoo, great news, Derek! Sorry this wasn't more clear/intuitive, but thanks for letting us know! We're here if you need anything else ๐ค -Lexi
@khalilliouane@Substack Hi Khalil, I'm afraid the Substack API doesn't support a service like Buffer yet, but we're keeping a close eye on it: https://t.co/v894PUthHJ :) -Juliet
Hi Derek - Just following up here. This is actually the expected behavior on Android. Once you're done typing, you'll need to dismiss the keyboard before being able to hit Next. Our team will see if we can improve this and have the bottom bar float above the keyboard. Thanks again for flagging this. -Ben
