The Civil Aviation Authority (@UgandaCAA ) is seeking more than Shs233 billion from the government and Uganda Airlines for services provided at Entebbe International Airport.
According to the Authority's Director of Finance, Hassan Musinguzi, the central government's outstanding debt amounts to Shs91.6 billion.
The outstanding payments relate to services including rental space occupied by United Nations agencies, parking fees for Uganda Airlines aircraft, airport passenger service charges and other airport-related services. #BabaNews

Prime Minister @RobinahNabbanja has urged the technical team and contractors working on Mandela National Stadium, Namboole to prioritize the completion of the facility ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
During her submission, the Prime Minister appealed to the contractors to set aside other assignments and focus on the stadium, describing Namboole as the "umbilical cord" of Uganda's AFCON preparations because of its central role in the tournament.

Minister of Health @CHRISBARYOMUNS1 has presented a statement to Parliament on reports of learner deaths in Kampala schools linked to a suspected new strain of malaria.
The Minister clarified that while four students have died from malaria, there is no evidence of a new malaria strain. He attributed the deaths to low acquired immunity among learners who come from low malaria transmission areas.
