Baitulmaal®

Turn Your Compassion Into Hope

[Baitulmaal® @baitulmaal]

A message from Mazen Mokhtar, CEO of Baitulmaal:

As-salaamu Alaikum / Greetings of Peace,

Earlier this year, I visited Syrian orphans in Türkiye. I watched a little girl named Abrar cradle a plastic doll as if it were a treasure. That tiny moment of joy, so pure, so fragile, softened my heart. Even the simplest gift can brighten a child’s world.

Although their circumstances were heavy, their hearts were light.

Across Kenya, Syria, Türkiye, Yemen, and beyond, children are waiting for your compassion. When you provide nutritional, educational, psychological, medical, and social support, you are also engaging in acts of worship.

It is our duty to uphold the responsibility that we have been entrusted with by the Prophet ﷺ.

In Yemen, Afghanistan, and Palestine, children are growing up without parents in some of the most difficult conditions on earth.

Your orphan sponsorship with Baitulmaal gives them food, shelter, and the chance to simply be children.

A message from Muniba Mazari:

As-salaamu Alaikum / Greetings of Peace,

One of the most defining moments of my life is the one when I realized that love is not limited by blood, and family is not bound by names.

Welcoming my son into my life taught me that when you open your heart to an orphan, you don’t just give them a home; you discover parts of yourself you didn’t know were missing.

Around the world, millions of orphans need someone who believes in their future. Someone who says, “You matter. Your life has value. Your dreams are worth protecting.”

Today, I’m asking you to sponsor a child, to lift a burden, and to bring hope back into a young life!

Charity is for the poor who are restricted in the cause of Allah, unable to move about in the land. The ignorant would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their mark - they do not ask people persistently.

A 50-cent piece of plastic can save a mother’s life during childbirth. So why are boxes of them sitting unused in storerooms? 📦💔

Earlier this week at the UN General Assembly (#UNGA81), our CEO Mazen Mokhtar took the stage to answer that question. He explained that a medical innovation means nothing if the local health worker doesn't have the training or the system support to use it.

He challenged the global community to stop asking "Did the product arrive?" and start asking, "Did the mother benefit?"

At Baitulmaal, we are making sure the answer is YES. From solar-powered incubators in Gaza to subsidized maternity care in Somalia and electricity-free newborn respiratory devices in Kenya, we aren’t just delivering supplies. We are training local heroes, adapting to harsh realities, and building sustainable care.

Because every life saved is hope reborn.

Thank you to the Every Pregnancy coalition for driving this vital conversation. Let's keep working together to unlock the final step.
